Applying a topical therapy may help temporarily relieve the symptoms but without identifying the root cause of the skin issue it’s likely to reoccur.
Skin problems are often a sign of something deeper. Hormone imbalance, food allergies, nutritional deficiency, and even disease can be at the source of the issue.

The dog, shown in this Before and After photo, came to MASH July 18, 2017 with severe allergies and a skin infection (pyoderma). He also had very waxy ears, and muscle loss.
Upon evaluation by one of our doctors, it was determined the dog was suffering from poor gut health. Diagnostics also identified significant hormone imbalances. |
To address these issues, the dog was prescribed dietary changes/supplements, weekly therapies of Fecal Transplants (MBRT) and Ozone, and hormone replacements.
Within 8 weeks, he was itching less, his skin health started to improve, and his fur started to grow back. By April 2018, his fur had completely grown back.
Here at MASH, we assess the whole pet in efforts to identify the underlying cause of the symptoms your pet is experiencing. By identifying the source, we can leverage integrative therapies that help your pet’s body control the issues and relieve them of chronic symptoms.
